500k Gold from One Map? It’s possible!
A Reddit post from 2 days ago has caught fire after one Path of Exile 2 player shared their insane luck with a Castaway map – walking away with 500k gold in one run. That is not a typo, and they are not alone. Multiple players in the thread reported earning anywhere from 600k to 1.5 million gold just from that single map type.
The post quickly turned into a celebration of how fun and rewarding the new, unique maps are – and also a bit of a nervous laugh about how long it will take before GGG nerfs it into the ground.
Ventor’s Strongbox Is Back (And Still Controversial)
The loot came from Ventor’s Strongbox inside the Castaway map, which has its own little legacy in the Path of Exile community. Some players love it. Others… not so much.

The Castaway map does not only shower you in loot, but it also shows that unique maps have the potential to be both rewarding and refreshing. However, plenty of players are already joking about GGG bringing down the nerf hammer soon.
