Grinding Gear Games just revealed another large update for Patch of Exile 2, Patch 0.2.0f.
This patch is packed with long-requested quality-of-life changes, including the ability to respec Ascendancy classes, big improvements to charms, totems, and stash tabs, and dozens of bug fixes.
As always, we have compiled a full breakdown of what is coming in the patch (planned for today) in an easy-to-view list, covering the most important points.
Ascendancy Respecs Are Finally Here
You can now respec your Ascendancy class by redoing a Trial, as long as you have zero Ascendancy points allocated. Talk to Balbala or the Trialmaster to refund your points first.
- 7-chamber Trials: Level 60 → 55
- 10-chamber Trials: Level 75 → 65
Charm System Overhaul
Charms are getting a huge overhaul:
- New Belts (Level 30+) now come with 1–3 implicit Charm Slots
- Old Charm Slot mods will no longer drop
- Prefixes that restore Life, Mana, or Guard when using Charms have been massively buffed
- Charms now recharge faster (half the charges and half the cost)
- Stone Charm duration increased from 2.5s to 3s
Stash Tab Affinity Upgrades
New stash affinities have been added for:
- Socketables
- Fragments (including Tablets and Trial Keys)
- Breach, Expedition, and Ritual
Atlas Bookmarks
You can now bookmark Atlas locations with icons and labels:
- Up to 16 custom bookmarks
- Bookmarks appear around your screen and can be clicked to quickly navigate
- Also viewable in a list under the map legend
Endgame Map and Boss Improvements
- Unlimited respawns on Pinnacle Bosses at Difficulty 0
- Tower/Hideout Maps now guarantee a same-tier map drop from the final rare (if Waystone chance is high enough)
- Added UI tracking for rares and uniques in special maps
Crafting and Rune Drop Changes
- Lesser and Medium Runes removed from the drop pool at higher levels
- Greater Runes will drop more past level 52
- Sceptres can now have sockets and new minion-focused Talisman mods
Totem Buffs
- All totems now gain Elemental + Chaos Resistance scaling with gem level
- Ironwood Support now gives supported totems +10% max Elemental Resist
Stun System Rebalance
- Reduced Light Stuns from monsters, especially from ranged/projectile sources
- New passive cluster for ES-based stun mitigation near Chaos Inoculation
- More stun mitigation coming in future passive updates
Player Skill and UI Improvements
Shockwave Totem base attack time halved; damage rebalanced
Shard Scavenger now refreshes grenade cooldowns and prevents bolt use for 2s
Frozen Locus can now interrupt actions like dodge
- Multiple support interactions updated (Raise Shield, Storm Lance, Glacial Lance, etc.)
- New Equipped Gems section added to the gemcutting UI
- Vendors now show rarity borders on items
Monster Balance Pass
- Reduced minion-targeting and AoE spam from several monsters
- Adjusted pack compositions in Sanctum, Aggorat, Utzaal
- Damage tuning and AI fixes across dozens of enemy types
- Endgame monsters no longer over-pursue if you retreat mid-attack
Bug Fixes (Over 40 Total)
- Fixed scaling issues with Iron Reflexes, Raise Shield, Shard Scavenger, and more
- Fixed bugs with Spectre gem levels, rune displays, projectile chains, map objectives
- Visual bugs, skill tooltip issues, and multiple crashes resolved
- Also: you can no longer accidentally hurt the Spirit of the Bear 🐻
