Now that Path of Exile 2‘s Patch 0.2.0f is out, GGG has already shared what they are working on next. Patch 0.2.0g is in development, with a focus on loot improvements, Nexus changes, and a few adjustments to core content difficulty. They stated that the goal for this patch is to release it soon, but with Easter and ANZAC Day next week, the exact timing might change.
Here is a quick overview of what is coming soon:
Better Boss Loot
Loot drops are apparently getting a few important upgrades, including:
- Campaign bosses will have a higher floor for loot quality to prevent long unlucky streaks.
- Bosses in general will drop better items overall.
- Monsters possessed by Azmerian Wisps will also have improved loot drops.
Nexus Rework
Corrupted Nexuses have been a sticking point for many players, especially compared to how quickly you can progress your Waystone tiers. Patch 0.2.0g will:
- Reduce the number of Nexuses required to earn all Atlas Passive Points.
- Make them easier to spot through Atlas fog.
Other Changes That GGG Is Working On
- Pinnacle content will become more accessible.
- Simulacrums will be easier overall.
- Expedition Remnants will have better rewards and fewer difficulty spikes.
Of course, these are just some of the changes being worked on for the next couple of weeks. There is also no confirmed release date yet, but we will update you as soon as more details are available!
Lastly, GGG also thanked players for the ongoing feedback and wished everyone who is celebrating a great Easter weekend. You can have a look at the official forum post about 0.2.0g here.
So, Happy Easter, Exiles!
