Passive Skill Tree, PoB, and Gem Links

You can find an optimized Path of Building here. Every build I release will use the community fork of Path of Building, which is maintained and updated in a much more regular fashion than the original one. You can find PoB’s Fork, by LocalIdentity, here.

If you are not comfortable with Path of Building, PoePlanner’s website offers you a non-PoB alternative to import the code from the above link. Do note that this does not have the same amount of support as Path of Building has and it is highly recommended you install Path of Building to follow builds most optimally.

Progression Advice

Luckily, you’re playing a Raider, which can level as a variety of other things. I recommend leveling as Frost Blades. (A Guide to help you more closely will come soon). You can follow the tree loosely and swap by grabbing a few necessary items (Terminus, Hrimsorrow, …) when you hit maps. Do note that Flicker gets progressively better with Levels & an initial increment of invested currency.

Gem Links

Flicker Strike Flicker Strike – Main Link (6-Link)

Since you’re using a Paradoxica Paradoxica, you’re looking for as much added damage as we can find. This is where the main link’s choices come into play. Ice Bite obviously is a super solid choice as you’re gaining a lot out of the damage per Frenzy Charge, since you have so many of them. Awakened Added Cold also is a tremendously strong scaler of flat damage. Since we get all of these flat damage sources, Elemental Damage with Attacks pulls ahead of other options like Ruthless. Try to get these Awakened upgrades as fast as possible, as they generally aren’t the most expensive ones but until then, regular versions will do fine.

  1. Flicker Strike Flicker Strike
  2. Multistrike Support Multistrike Support
  3. Close Combat Support Close Combat Support
  4. Awakened Added Cold Damage Support Awakened Added Cold Damage Support
  5. Ice Bite Support Ice Bite Support
  6. Awakened Elemental Damage with Attacks Support Awakened Elemental Damage with Attacks Support

Note : Before you have the Melee Splash node in the tree, you’ll need to run a Melee Splash Support

Less Duration

You need to run a Less Duration support, unlinked, in a socket of the item where you crafted Aspect of the Cat (Your only option is probably the Gloves, since you need to utilize all sockets in the shield and that’s the only other rare item with sockets you have. Folllow the steps in the Gearsection & it wont be too hard). This actually applies to the aspect, making it rotate its forms faster, meaning you’re getting the Farrul’s Fur effect faster and therefore have more Frenzies to use for Flickering.

Buffs – Vaal Skills

You’re going to be using two Vaal Auras, namely Haste & Ancestral Warchief. Put these down on challenging bosses for a sizeable increase in DPS! The Vaal Haste can be socketed wherever you find yourself with a free socket – given the stress on sockets on this builds, they can be fit around as need be.

  1. Vaal Ancestral Warchief Vaal Ancestral Warchief
  2. Ancestral Protector Ancestral Protector
  3. Multiple Totems Support Multiple Totems Support
  4. Culling Strike Support Culling Strike Support

If you’re in the need for speed, swap Culling Strike for Vaal Haste Vaal Haste – I generally don’t/didn’t cause I think 2 totems, blood rage, leap slap, … are enough buttons to press and Culling is nice – even on the totems.

Auras

To run all of these Auras at the maximum levels, you’re going to need a Shield with Socketed Gems have # Reduced Reservation. Before that, you can either find an Enlighten or just drop the Herald of Ice. It’s not optimal, but hey, you gotta make do with what you have, right?

  1. Grace Grace
  2. Hatred Hatred
  3. Herald of Ice Herald of Ice

Precision & Accuracy

You’re going to be running a Precision Precision as well. Now, there’s a lot you can do with this. We merely provided a single solution to accuracy. You can lower / up precision levels as you find other ways to find accuracy (Jewels, Glove implicits, Corruptions, …) – Just make sure your accuracy is always 100% in Path of Building!
If you have specific questions about this, find us on Discord.

Movement Skill

The movement skill of choice for this build is Leap Slam. Since you’re scaling so many Frenzy Charges and Attack Speed, Leap Slam really will feel a lot better than any other contender. It is being linked to Life Tap because you want to be able to use it without hitting something, which means it will not be leeching Mana. This usually goes into the item where you have Aspect of the Cat cause it’s only a 3L and therefore allows a Less Duration to support the Aspect.

  1. Leap Slam Leap Slam
  2. Lifetap Support Lifetap Support
  3. Faster Attacks Support Faster Attacks Support

Blood Rage & Mark on Hit

Whilst you can get an automatic trigger of a level 1 Blood Rage on your weapon, you’re still going to want a decently leveled & qualitied one regardless. Sure, the one on your weapon is nice just in case you forget to use yours manually, but a leveled and qualitied Blood Rage just does so much more. Additionally, you’re going to need a Mark On Hit here with Assassin’s Mark.

Tip: Should you feel mana-starved at certain points in your characters gearing progression, try dropping Steel Skin for a Lifetap Support on your Mark on Hit.

  1. Blood Rage Blood Rage (level 20/23 quality if possible)
  2. Steelskin Steelskin
  1. Mark On Hit Support Mark On Hit Support
  2. Assassin's Mark Assassin's Mark
