Settlers of Kalguur League Mechanic Guide Buildings

Buildings

Building and upgrading Buildings within Kingsmarch is required to gain access to nearly all of its features. Not only that – but higher tier buildings are enhanced in a variety of ways – usually allowing you to assign more Workers to complete assignments faster and/or more profitably.

Building and upgrading buildings costs an amount of Gold, but otherwise appears to be instantaneous. You’ll have to choose between spending your Gold on wages, or upgrading your town – choose wisely!

There are currently 8 known Buildings that you can build and upgrade.

The exact details of what each tier of building gains as it’s upgraded are mostly unknown – this page will be updated once we know more!

This is a Pre-Launch Guide, as the Settlers of Kalguur Challenge League is not yet live. This guide is based on publicly available information about Settlers of Kalguur through reveals, teasers, Q&A, developer comments, etc, and will continue to be updated up through – and after – league launch. As such, information in this guide may be inaccurate, or simply changed by GGG prior to launch.

Recruitment

Recruitment – done at the Tavern – allows you to hire Workers.

Upgrading Recruitment appears to increase the maximum number of Workers you can have hired, increases the number of Workers available to hire, and increases the maximum tier of traits that are available on Workers for hire.

Workers & Management

Mining

Mining allows you to convert unprocessed Ore into regular Ore, suitable for smelting.

Workers can be assigned to Mining to process ore, and increase the speed at which it is processed.

Upgrading Mining increases mining speed, and allows you to assign more Workers.

Workers & Management

Smelting

Smelting allows you to convert processed Ore into metal ingots, suitable for shipping.

It’s currently unknown how smelting works or what upgrades it has.

Farming

Farming allows you to grow crops – earning resources over time.

It’s currently unknown what upgrades are available for Farming.

Disenchanting

Disenchanting allows you to destroy equipment items – turning them into Thaumaturgic Dust.

Rare items with higher tier affixes, and Unique items of higher tiers will grant the most Thaumaturgic dust.

Disenchanting items takes time to complete – you can assign Workers to speed up the process.

It’s currently unknown what upgrades are available for Disenchanting.

Shipping

Shipping allows you to manage, crew, and send out boats, to exchange your Resources for rewards.

Upgrading shipping grants you access to more boats, more ports, and allows you to assign more crew members to each shipment.

Mapping allows you to have your Workers run maps for you.

Upgrading Mapping grants you access to more map devices, and allows you to assign more Workers to each.

Runesmithing allows you to apply enchantments to non-unique weapons.
