GhazzyTV's Spectre Paladin Gear & flasks (PoE Legacy of Phrecia Event)
Gearing
A lot of the end-game gear can easily be crafted, to learn how to craft as well as learn how to craft specific items check out my crafting guides here.)
You can read more details about our gearing recommendations on the dedicated page, but for now you can see a summarized version below.

Armour Pieces
Most of the items in this build’s Low-Budget can be easily self-crafted as they don’t carry too many modifiers. This is not true for the medium and high budget as things get more specific, but I’ll try to walk you through the most relevant pitfalls.
Body Armour
A corrupted 6-Link chest piece is preferable as they provide basic stats like armour/evasion/energy shield/life/resistances, A Tabula Rasa would work if you’re truly desperate, but I strongly recommend an actual sixlink with stats.
For the medium budget, the build will make use of a The Fourth Vow. This is a safe swap at almost any point. In the high budget, it will be using a
Doryani's Prototype. Do not use Doryani too early, as it will make you die a lot. I’ll discuss this further in the jewels section further down.
Gloves
Any pair of rare gloves works here, but something that grants ES would work better. Just make sure it’s granting you life, some resistance modifier and ideally a dexterity roll.
Boots
We’re using these solely as a resistance bank, so resistance modifiers’ life and movement speed are all we want for this slot. ES base is preferred for EB here as well.
Shield
We’ll be using a minion shield to access minion modifiers.
For our purposes in this build, we’ll be going for minion damage, +1 level of minion skills and a crafted resistance modifier.
There is an option to make a recovery on block shield here for more defences, but as our block isn’t capped it loses value.
Amulet
We’ll be using the unique The Jinxed Juju for our amulet. It helps us with attributes, it gives us chaos resistance and it transfers some of the damage we take to our spectres, effectively giving us 10% reduced damage taken from hits. All around round solid item.
The anoint you want is Death Attunement. The oils you will need for this is 1x Clear Oil, 1x
Crimson Oil and 1x
Silver Oil
Rings
We’ll be making use of one Bone Ring to help cap minions’ resistance values and access minion modifiers, such as minion attack speed for the first ring, our second ring is purely to resistance bank so the base type matters less. We suggest a
Two-Stone Ring as it’s likely the cheapest candidate, but anything works.
Ideally, your Bone Ring carries a dex in addition to minion attack speed.
Weapon
Convoking Wand is the natural go-to fit any minion build. Initially, we’ll keep this really simple
1: minion damage
2: trigger
3: level of minion modifiers (this is not hugely important until spectres become important, so skip this early if you have to make concessions)
Flasks
Flask set-ups are almost always a matter of personal taste when it comes to what utility flasks to use. However, I will list the set-up I’ve been using for a smooth play experience. To find the available list of modifiers the flasks can have, check out these links: Utility Flasks, Life Flasks, Mana Flasks & lastly: Hybrid Flasks
The PoB is showcasing another flask set-up that works fine as well, again, this is mostly a matter of personal preference when it comes to the utility flasks.

This would replace the Granite should you choose to run it, it helps with block |
As always, remember to automate your flasks if you are new as they are a massive part of your survivability and not having them active will make things harder for you.
Suffixes are largely up to you here. As we’re ailment immune from Purity of Elements, we don’t need things like Shock/freeze removal. So I’d suggest you have the following spread across your flasks:
- #% increased Armour
- #% Reduced Effect of Curses
Should you opt for a blue Granite over Rumis, you can run whichever suffix you feel helps you fix some problem you are having.
Jewels
We’ll be exclusively using Ghastly Eye Jewel in low budget as they provide minion-related modifiers. Thanks to
Darkness Enthroned we can put our best jewels in there to further scale those modifiers. Also, note that if you’re struggling to solve attributes and/or resistances you can get those modifiers on these jewels as well.
Jewel Modifier Priority List:
1. Life
2. #% increased damage if you’ve used a minion skill recently
- to # additional elemental damage
#% resistances (including chaos) – for the player
are very, very strong. But they will make the jewels more expensive and should be considered luxury modifiers.
Higher Budget jewels
In the Medium and High budget builds we’ll start using more specialised jewels and some of them do very particular things and need to be discussed as a package. We’ll start off with looking at the medium budget jewels first, as they are simpler to understand.
Flesh and Flame – Gladiator
We’ll ideally want to use Flesh and Flame jewels to steal Gladiator’s More than Skill for lucky block. This increases our block rate to a pretty absurd level, and we expect this to be cheap as we expect Duelist not to be the most populated base class.
Only use them once you have both and if they turn out to be really expensive, skip them.
Watchers Eye
We want a Watchers Eye jewel with the modifier “ #%additional physical damage mitigation while affected by Determination”.
In the high budget we’re going to need a much more specialised version of this jewel, but I’ll discuss that when we get to the lynchpin of that Package.
Cluster jewels
In the medium we’re keeping this relatively simple with a 12-passive jewel that carries 25% inc effect, 2% attack speed and a life modifier. The life is mostly Quality of Life mod and can be skipped if you’re on a tight budget. As could the attack speed mod, if you value life over damage. I’d suggest rolling all three, however.
High Budget Jewels
Light of Meaning
This nifty jewel will cause every passive node within its radius to also grant us +4% chaos resistance. Where we are socketing it and how we are using it, that amounts to 47% Chaos resistance. I would advise you to prioritise getting this early, and if it’s cheap even pick it up in medium budget.
It is placed here among high budget because it’s expected to not be very cheap, however. Keep an eye on this as it’s incredibly powerful.
Timeless Jewel – Glorious Vanity
We’re using this for a number of things, really. The first is access to the keystone “Divine Flesh” which causes 50% of the elemental damage we take to be taken as chaos. The second is its ability to transform the nodes around it, we’re looking for 3x Automaton studies.
Watcher’s Eye
The high-budget watcher’s eye has two modifiers. The “additional physical damage mitigation while affected by Determination” we needed before, and a second line “20% of fire and lightning damage taken as cold damage while affected by Purity of Ice.
This last mod is extremely important and ties in with Xibaqua and the next jewel, I’ll explain in more detail there.
Sublime Vision – Purity of Ice
This is where the High budget ties together. This might be odd to newer players or players that have never used this tech before, so it warrants explanation.
The normal Downside of Doryani is that we drag our lightning resistance into the ground and as close to -200% as possible. This causes lightning damage to make Doryani’s Prototype characters explode. We don’t like to explode, so we’re shifting all our lightning damage to other sources.
The jewel itself grants us the following “30% of fire and lightning damage taken as Cold Damage while Affected by Purity of Ice”. This means we take 70% of the incoming fire and lightning damage as cold now.
From Divine Flesh (the keystone our Timeless jewel grants us) we get 50% of all elemental damage shifted to be taken as chaos damage, effectively leaving us with taking 50% of lightning as lightning, and 50% as Chaos.
From the Watchers eye modifier, we get a 20% shift of fire and lightning to cold.
Summarised these end up being 30+50 +20 = 100%.
This means we no longer take Fire or Lightning damage as those two elements, we take 50% of the damage either deals to Chaos and Cold resistance respectively.
It’s important to understand that you need these values to be correct. You need 30% on the Sublime and you need 20% on the Watchers eye. 29 and 18 will not work, as you will be taking really high lightning damage that way.
This should be enabled before you swap to Doryani to mitigate deaths.
We understand this might all get confusing or complicated and it is rather expensive, so pop by the discord and ask us if you reach this point and you’re uncertain how things work.

Final Notes
As much as I love making build guides, it is very crucial in a game like Path of Exile that you play the game the way you enjoy playing it. With that said, if you’ve made any tweaks to the build compared to what I’m showing in this guide I would love if you’d posted it in my discord! It’s an effective way to show other approaches and it helps me grow as a build guide creator!
I hope you found the build guide useful and I wish you all many Divine Orb drops!
