h2 Armour
Helmet
Rare Eternal Burgonet is our go-to for this slot as it has tremendous amounts of base armour values. Any other high armour base will suffice.
Prioritise stats as follows:
- Life roll
- Any resistance you can get (Until Capped)
Roll phys recoup with eldritch
Ideally you want an accuracy modifier here to permit a higher life roll before you brick Precise Technique, but it might be rough to source early.
Chest
Rare Glorious Plate We’re not asking too much of this piece of gear. We’re not asking too much of our chest, but we need it not to have an influence so it doesn’t interfere with our sorely needed eldritch modifiers.
You should stat-budget your chest as follows:
- High armour
- Preferably resistance modifiers
- Physical Damage reduction mod – This could be expensive to roll, and if you can’t land it craft the 3% instead. It’s much better than nothing.
*Life roll. If you can’t get a chest that fills the rest of these requirements with a life roll, use the 15% mastery and it’ll be fine. But since the life roll changes flat life rolls are better again. Accuracy mod on helmet also plays into wether this is a good idea or not.
This is all your chest needs to be. If you hit any resistance, that is a welcome bonus as it reduces pressure in other places.
Gloves
The unique Gloves Tanu Ahi are unrivalled for this slot. It provides us with both Adrenaline and Onslaught and both of these bonuses are incredibly strong. The gloves are also extremely cheap. They can be surpassed later on with really, really well-crafted gloves but this guide will not take the glove slot to that point.
Boots
Rare Titan Greaves is our recommended go-to boots type here, but any base type with high armour will do.
Prioritise stat-budget as follows:
- Movement Speed
- Life
*Resistances (Until Capped)
Alternatively you can use the unique Death's Door boots. I am partial to this personally, as more endurance charges are king. But that’s entirely up to you.
Weapon
For this slot, we want a big Two-Handed Axe. Our primary recommendation for this is going to be a Despot Axe. You want as high Attack Speed and Base Damage as possible.
Prioritise stat-budget as follows:
*High #% physical damage
*Flat physical damage to attacks
*Attack Speed
Accessories
Amulet
The unique Carnage Heart amulet is our go-to choice here. It gives us attributes and resistances and that is really all we want it to do. It will occasionally give us a damage boost when fighting rares, but this is essentially irrelevant. It’s cheap and it does what we need it to.
- Attributes until capped
- Life
- Resistances (Until Capped)
Rings
Rare Two-Stone Ring if needed for resistance caps, or double
Amethyst Ring. We do not need any influenced bases here as they will be solving fairly basic things for us. Prioritise stat-budget as follows:
- There is a luxury option here for Damage Taken Recouped as life. But it will make the rings more expensive.
- Open Prefix for -mana cost craft. This is very important.
Belt
The Magnate is our clear and realistically only real contender here. The chance for double damage is great, the chance for triple damage is straight-up insane. The fact that it also comes with all elemental resistance is just icing on the cake. This is why we need to stay above 400 strength!
Jewels
There are several extremely useful things we can get from rare jewels. We will list our primary recommendations, as well as some honorary mentions.
Our primary recommendations are as follows:
- #% of Damage taken Recouped as Life
- Physical damage with Axes
*Physical damage with Two-Handed Weapons
Honourable mentions go to:
- Elemental resistances
- Attributes if needed
- Immunity to corrupted blood
