Need help finding a beginner guide

I’m a new comer to POE and am having trouble finding a beginner guide. If anyone could link me to good beginner with guides I would much appreciate it. Thanks ahead of time.

We have a number of general beginner guides on the site that can help you get a better understanding of the game’s systems and interactions. This is probably the best place to start, but looking at the Guides menu at the top should give you plenty more options.

If you mean build guides specifically, any build tagged League Starter should do. My go-to recommendation for new players is the Purifying Flame Inquisitor which is very easy to play, requires very little currency/gear, and can let you experience a lot of the game.

I actually went ahead and started with this build guide: https://www.poe-vault.com/guides/vortex-cold-snap-low-life-occultist-build-guide I’m liking the leveling guide so far but am not sure how fun using vortex as a main skill will be and am wondering if i can substitute a different spell for vortex late game.

It is always theoretically possible to change a build to another of the same class/ascendancy, though it may be moderately to very annoying. The build you chose, however, should do great!
