Leveling build vs Endgame build

Hi guys. Although I am not new to POE, I have skipped most of the latest leagues. Anyway, POE just sucked me in again and I am trying this Cyclone Slayer build but the guide says to only use Cyclone closer to the end game because it is not strong enough to level up without the other support gems and gear, plus the mana cost for a low level character, so the guide advises to go with a Ground Slam build followed by a Sunder one, using a couple of buffs. That worked so far till act 4 and now I find myself having a hard time killing boss mobs and dying a lot.

So, how does one go about making a leveling up build to then switch to the end game build? And do you recommend any lvl up build for someone who wants to play Cyclone Slayer in the end game? Thanks!

Hey man, I was in the same boat—came back to POE after a long break, and it sucked me right back in! I also tried leveling with Cyclone at first but quickly realized it’s way too clunky early on. Ground Slam into Sunder is solid, but Act 4+ can be rough without decent gear.

For leveling into Cyclone Slayer, I had a much smoother time using Splitting Steel early on, then transitioning into Spectral Helix or Shield Crush until maps. Less mana issues, solid damage, and it doesn’t rely on crazy gear. Once you get enough attack speed, leech, and reduced mana cost, swapping to Cyclone feels way better.
