Are damaging aura builds possible?

Is it possible to play a build in which an aura/herald (not herald of agony) is your main damaging skill? If it is, how? I’d really like to try it. If not, is there a build that resemble an “aura-like style”?

Otherwise, there are some builds that use Herald of Thunder as its main damage dealer but thats kind of expensive.
